James Spann

We had a special guest this morning...... ABC 33/40's chief meteorologist James Spann! We look at his radar along at his Weather Blog quite often in our class so we were excited that he decided to pay Indian Valley a visit.

Fun Filled Friday...

Our Friday was filled with lots of fun!

Our Mystery Reader, Ms. Garrett read us several fun stories before heading to lunch.

This week's science lesson has been about Animals and their habitats.  Here are the students doing their Thursday activity to apply what they have learned.  We team up with Ms. Sanders' class for unit and it was her week to teach us all about the Habitats.  I think it's safe to say the kids had fun and learned a lot too. :)  Next week we will learn about the developmental Stages of Animals... gotta love animals! There is just so much we can learn about them!

Literacy Stations

We've been working SUPER hard at establishing our classroom routines.  Here we are today, rotating through some of our stations!  Each day, students visit the Listening Station, Word Works(computers), Reading to Someone and Read to Self.  They also pay me a visit during rotations.  This week, we've done an awesome job! They are learning their "responsibilities" at each station!
